About The Project
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the James M. and Thomas W. L. Ashley U.S. Courthouse, located at the north end of Toledo’s Civic Mall, required modification and restoration in order to accommodate judicial growth, infrastructure improvements, and security enhancements. CCS provided a Concept Estimate for a new 95,000SF Annex and a 93,000 SF rehabilitation of the four-story facility. The project has a goal of LEED Gold and was designed using Building Information Modeling (BIM). The building will be occupied during the phased construction, and tenant disruption will be minimized by the use of swing space. The Courthouse is primarily occupied by the U.S. District Court Northern District of Ohio, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), Federal Credit Union, and the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). The U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO) will also be relocated to the annex upon completion.
