About the Project
Circuit of the Americas (COTA) is the premier destination for world-class motorsports and entertainment in the United States, home to the Formula One United States Grand Prix, the IndyCar Classic and the Motorcycle Grand Prix of the Americas. Set on 1,500 acres in the rolling hills just outside downtown Austin, COTA has hosted the biggest names in racing, action sports and music since 2012. At its heart is a 3.41-mile Formula One racetrack designed to challenge the world’s most exacting competitors while providing a thrilling spectacle for audiences.
When the track and surrounding areas sustained storm damage, CCS provided litigation support services. The attorney representing COTA as plaintiff asked CCS to analyze an estimate produced by a representative of the defendant, Factory Mutual Insurance Company, to verify quantities, unit costs and durations for completion of the repair work. After providing this estimate evaluation, the two sides came to an agreement on the cost to repair at $26 million.
