About The Project
One of the preeminent luxury hotels in Chicago, the opulent building at 505 North Michigan Ave. was built in 1929 as the exclusive Medinah Athletic Club. The Gilded Age property, constructed with larger-than-life architectural details: a bronze doorway, marble columns, a grand staircase, cast-bronze friezes and painted ceilings. CCS provided Owner’s Representation services in the construction phase for the renovation of an existing dome on the 42nd floor, including concrete repairs, repainting and the retrofit of the existing men’s and women’s fitness center. We also led pre-construction services for various construction projects, including renovations to the pool area, presidential suite, public restrooms, fitness center and the restoration of the existing underground parking garage.
