About The Project
CCS was involved in the development of a 693,386 SF maximum security facility consisting of 19 buildings with a capacity of almost 2,000 beds. The 1.6 million site includes a utility loop, on-site paving, athletic fields, security, and protective fencing. The main facility will include seven housing units totaling 280,000 SF for general population inmates, with each building having four 2-story pods with 36 double-occupancy cells in each pod. A 114,086 SF central control room in the middle of each housing building will provide direct views into each pod. A central support building will include a medical clinic and a 25-bed infirmary, along with facilities for inmate recreation, education, food service, and dining. A 15,500 SF multipurpose building will be used for inmate visitation, parole offices, and a cable television production studio for inmate and educational programming. Other components of the prison will include a 22,000 SF administrative building, a 133,700 SF industrial building, an 89,000 SF warehouse, a 27,000 SF central power plant, a 7,500 SF equipment depot, a 3,300 SF central support hut, and two observation posts totaling 1,300 SF.
