About The Project
The mission of the Mountaineer ChalleNGe Academy is to train and mentor selected at-risk youth to become contributing members of society using the 8 Core Components curriculum in a quasi-military environment during a 22-week residential and one-year post-residential follow-up program. CCS delivered a 45,174-square-foot, two-story classroom building for the academy, which the U.S. Army National Guard administers. The facility houses classrooms, a gymnasium, a dining hall and administrative offices.
