About The Project
The United States Penitentiary, Pollock (USP Pollock) is a high-security United States federal prison for male inmates in Louisiana. It is part of the Pollock Federal Correctional Complex (FCC Pollock) and operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, a division of the United States Department of Justice. CCS was involved in a new 511,000 SF penitentiary for USP Pollock, including three four-story inmate housing structures, a three-story special housing structure for medically impaired inmates, a healthcare facility, an entry administration building, an education and learning area, a chapel, a utility building, and a kitchen and dining areas. The project includes a 12,354 SF remote utility building that will house cooling tower support, plumbing and HVAC systems, unit heaters, a chilled water system, temperature controls, a preaction fire protection system, and lighting and power systems. The project also includes site work, roads, and grading utilities.
